Main Responsibility

As well as providing emotional support, you will bring our children routine, leading activities appropriate to your qualifications and experience and bringing new ideas and initiatives to the team.  Working with the child, our Teachers and Therapists, you will come up with activity ideas, teach them new skills and nurture their confidence.  You are not alone and will have support too.  Most of our homes operate on a 2:1 or 1:1 ratio, you have managers and a dedicated Outdoor team to help you path out what good looks like to the child. 

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic Practitioners with over 12 months practical experience in their specialism.

You will hold a qualification equivalent to your specialism:

  • Outdoor Practitioners must hold at least 2 National Governing Body Outdoor Qualifications.
  • Other Practitioners, e.g. Mental Health, Positive Behaviour Support, etc. must hold at least a Level 3 relative to their specialism

This role offers a great work life balance with our condensed working rota and sleep ins.  Shifts start between 8am-9am.  You’ll need to be happy to work towards a Level 3 Diploma or equivalent in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or already have one) and the willingness to work early, late and night shifts. Above all, we really want like minded resilient people who truly want to make a difference.

Package Description

Children's Residential Practitioner

£30,831

£13.25 per hour, plus sleep in allowance (£26,871 plus sleep in allowance)
