As our Digital Media and Communications Partner, you will work with a range of teams to design and develop inspiring content that helps us attract and retain our best talent. You will enable us to celebrate the success of our people and positively impact the lives of the children we look after.

Main Responsibility

  • Your role is based in our head office in Penrith; however, you can work on a hybrid basis with flexibility if required. Essentially, you will be required to travel throughout Cumbria, and the North-East England and Southern Scotland.
  • Working within our People Team, you will be responsible for a wide range of digital media projects that enhance our internal and external communications. You key projects will include, candidate attraction campaigns, producing material for training programmes, and creating content for employee engagement initiatives.
  • Working closely with our Recruitment team, you will produce graphics, blogs, and high-impact social media content that highlights everything that is unique about working at Wilderness.
  • You will manage and oversee activity on our social media platforms, including responding to internal and external inquiries and reviews.
  • You will design and implement a social media content calendar that offers a consistent and inclusive message and promotes our Company ethos.
  • You will analyse key statistics and report on marketing outcomes to support future growth and marketing campaigns.
  • You will work closely with our Training Academy to produce video content for our Company induction and support our in-house training teams to ensure training content is inspiring and engaging.   
  • Our outdoor education and care operations teams will invite you to shoot and film a range of activities and outcomes, therefore an excellent standard of technical skills are required to produce a high standard of multimedia content.
  • Our Employee Experience Manager will liaise closely with you to gather relevant content for our newsletters and monthly ‘Wilderness Heroes’ awards.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential qualities that we look for,

  • A degree in Digital Media and Communications (or equivalent)
  • Ideally, you will have at least 2 years’ industry experience.
  • A proven track record in the design, creation, and deployment of digital marketing campaigns.
  • A high standard of graphic design, photography, and video production skills.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite or equivalent.
  • An excellent eye for detail and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of PPC, Google Analytics, Facebook, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed and other social advertising platforms.
  • A motivated and focussed self-starter who enjoys taking ownership over projects, managing tight deadlines, and achieving good results.
  • A good understanding of GDPR in relation to marketing and social media.
  • Passionate about continual personal development and trying new things.
  • A full, valid, UK driving licence for manual vehicles.

Package Description

What we offer you

  • Your salary is £26,000 to £28,000 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience.
  • Your hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday,
  • 33 days annual leave, inclusive of public holidays,
  • Additional leave for 2 years and 5 years continuous service,
