Residential Support Worker

Main Responsibility

As well as providing emotional support, you will bring them routine, get involved in cooking, sports, writing, music, relaxing in the home or even getting a manicure.   Working with the child, our Teachers and Therapists, you will come up with activity ideas, teach them new skills and nurture their confidence.  You are not alone and will have support too.  Most of our homes operate on a 2:1 or 1:1 ratio, you have managers and a dedicated Outdoor team to help you path out what good looks like to the child. If you want to take them paddle boarding for example, we can make it happen.

The Ideal Candidate

This role offers a great work life balance with our condensed working rota and sleep ins.  Shifts start between 8am-9am.  You’ll need to be happy to work towards a Level 3 Diploma or equivalent in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or already have one) and the willingness to work early, late and night shifts. Above all, we really want like minded resilient people who truly want to make a difference.

All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland as we follow safer recruitment processes. Package Description

Residential Support Worker

£27,962 to £30,225 dependent on experience and qualifications

£11.86 to £12.95 per hour plus Sleep in Allowance (£24,062 to £26,265 plus £3900 sleep in)
