Reporting to the Home Manger, you will be the lead practitioner on shift. You will mentor, support and coach new staff and draw upon your extensive experience to manage any challenges that may arise. For our children, as well as providing emotional support, you will bring them routine, get involved in cooking, sports, writing, music, relaxing in the home or even getting a manicure. Working with the child, our Teachers and Therapists, you will come up with activity ideas, teach them new skills and nurture their confidence. You are not alone and will have support too. Most of our homes operate on a 2:1 or 1:1 ratio, you have managers and a dedicated Outdoor team to help you path out what good looks like to the child. If you want to take them paddle boarding for example, we can make it happen.
The Ideal Candidate
You will already have achieved your Level 3 Diploma or equivalent in Children and Young People’s Workforce. Ideally you will have experience in the Residential Children's Services sector, or have worked in a similar setting working with children with challenging behaviour.
We are looking for resilience, dedication and can do attitudes. This role offers a great work life balance with our condensed working rota and sleep ins. Shifts start between 8am-9am and you'll need a willingness to work early, late and night shifts. Above all, we really want like minded passionate people who truly want to make a difference.

£34,320 - £36,348
£15.00 - £16.00 per hour, plus sleep in allowance (£30,420 - £32,448 plus sleep in allowance)
Drivers Required - Full UK Manual License Required
